Injection
Composition:
Cevac Megamune ND-IB-EDS-SHS contains an inactivated combination of LaSota strain of Newcastle disease virus, Massachusetts and QX-like serotype strains of the infectious bronchitis virus, B8/78 strain of the Egg drop syndrome virus and a B subtype strain of Avian metapneumovirus, homogenised with oil adjuvant and thiomersal as a preservative.
Indication:
Cevac Megamune ND-IB-EDS-SHS is recommended for the vaccination of layer and breeder type chicken flocks, in order – to reduce mortality, clinical signs, lesions and virus shedding caused by Newcastle disease virus; – to reduce egg drop, respiratory signs and virus shedding caused by the Massachusetts and QX-like serotypes of Infectious bronchitis virus; – to reduce egg drop caused by the Egg drop syndrome virus; – to reduce respiratory signs (e.g. signs linked to Swollen Head Syndrome) and virus shedding caused by Avian metapneumovirus. The birds should be previously immunised with live vaccines against ND, IB and AM viruses.
Dosage:
Cevac Megamune ND-IB-EDS-SHS K should be given from 14 weeks of age but not later than 3 weeks before the expected onset of the laying period. The dose of the vaccine is 0.5 ml, injected by intramuscular route (into breast muscles) or subcutaneously (into the back of the neck).
