Injectable Hormone solution

 

Composition:

Each 100 mL contains,
Synthetic oxytocin – 20 IU

Indication:

In general and for all species: Induction to parturition; inertia or uterine atony; involution of the uterus after caesarean sections and reduction of hemorrhages; expulsion of secundins and remains of exudates after childbirth; initiation to lactation after childbirth; agalaxia of sow; piometritis and chronic endometritis to cause exudates to be expelled; coadjuvant treatment for antibiotic therapy of acute and chronic mastitis, to provoke the expulsion of waste and facilitate drainage

Contraindication:

Do not use in pregnant females until the moment of delivery. Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the drug. Dystocia due to abnormal presentation, pelvic-fetal disproportion or any type of mechanical obstruction. Cardiovascular diseases. Females predisposed to uterine rupture. Administer with caution in toxemias. When there is no dilation of the cervix (during labor induction).

Withdrawal time:

For meat – 2 days

Dosage:

Obstetrics (intravenous, intramuscular and subcutaneous):
Cows – 3.75 – 5 mL
Mares – 3.75 – 7.5 mL
Sows, Sheep – 1.5 – 2.5 mL
Female dogs – 0.25 – 1.25 mL
Cats – 0.25-0.5 mL

Milky Ejection (Preferably intravenously):
Cows and Mares – 0.5-1.0 mL
Sows and Sheep – 0.25-1.0 mL
Female dogs – 0.1-0.5 mL
Cats – 0.05 – 0.5 mL
